Second City Greens, LLC. was formed to prove that small urban farms can flourish - by providing natural, clean, farm-to-table greens and a venue for community education on the benefits of sustainable urban agriculture in an age of dramatic climate change.
Ajay is a consultant to financial institutions and an urban farming enthusiast, intent on proving that small businesses have a vital role in sustainable urban agriculture, revitalization and education. Ajay has an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Rob is an expert on hydroponic systems and plant nutrient management with a background in economics and corporate education; and he grew up farming! An expert on hydroponic farming and plant nutrition, Rob has a passion to educate and engage local communities on the benefits of urban agriculture. Rob has a degree in economics (BS) from Indiana University, Bloomington.
Phil is an entrepreneur and runs a successful engineering consulting firm and has set up aquaponic systems in Chicagoland. Phil is an expert on most things engineering and is an innovator on sustainability. Phil has an engineering degree (BSCE) from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
Emmit is a former ComEd executive, corporate counsel and business developer; he is also keenly aware of sustainable energy options and currently serves as an independent arbitrator. Emmit has a law degree (JD) from the University of Iowa.
Jeremy Lesauski is a current Senior at Indiana University in Bloomington Indiana. He has a passion to create an engaged community while promoting a green world. Jeremy is majoring in Management.
